Understanding dyspraxia, by Neuro Tide

  • We make a start by understanding dyspraxia, recognising the multi-layered nature of the spectrum, and embracing the unique presentations. It is here that we share with you some statistics too.

  • It is a misunderstanding that people with dyspraxia have different intelligence levels to the general population. Here we explore this myth and correct the understanding.

  • When referring to, or communicating with somebody with dyspraxia it is really important to be aware of the language to use, and we share this vital information with you.

  • In this section, we will delve into prevalent myths and misunderstandings surrounding dyspraxia. By addressing these misconceptions, our aim is to provide you with a comprehensive and accurate understanding of dyspraxia.

  • We embrace and celebrate the positive aspects and also acknowledge and understand the obstacles, including the spectrum of sensitivity to sensory input.

  • Many people with dyspraxia also experience multiple neurodivergent conditions, which, in some situations can significantly heighten the risk of mental health challenges. but not always. Here we address and understand these interconnected factors.

  • Individuals with dyspraxia have unique preferences and it's crucial to tailor verbal and written communication. We also delve into learning styles and address challenges and more.
